Powering Community
BakerRipley is a non-profit organization that serves communities in the Houston region. With more than 60 service centers, BakerRipley offers a variety of services to more than half a million people each year including Early Head Start, Head Start, education, and small business programs for individuals of all ages from youths to seniors.
On a daily basis, the organization provides those in need across Houston with assistance, including energy bill funds through TXU Energy Aid.
Disaster Relief Initiatives
During Hurricane Harvey, BakerRipley was called upon on short notice by Harris County to operate one of the largest emergency shelters and ensure compassionate, effective immediate response, and provided long-term disaster recovery for impacted families.

2026 Corporate Champion Award
TXU Energy, powered by Vistra Corp., was recognized with the BakerRipley Corporate Champion Award for demonstrating a lasting commitment to strengthening communities and supporting Houston families when they need it most. Employee volunteers bring that commitment to life by giving their time to serve Neighbors and support community events.
The award was presented by Irma Diaz-Gonzalez, Board Chair, and Claudia Aguirre, President and CEO of BakerRipley. Scott Hudson, President of Vistra Retail, and Kim Campbell, Senior Manager of Customer Advocacy for TXU Energy and Vistra, accepted the award.
