Using Less to Save More With 1 Coincident Peak
If your company can reduce demand during the hours when MISO is using the most electricity in each season, you could save thousands of dollars in capacity charges the following year.
Qualifying customers are subject to capacity charges based on their contribution to the peak hour of demand across the Midwest ISO (MISO) for each season of the year. These capacity charges impact the monthly costs for customers for a 12-month period and are directly related to how much electricity the customer was using during the MISO coincident peak (CP) hours.
Our 1CP notification program alerts customers when these peak hours could occur so that customers can decrease their businesses’ total electricity costs throughout the year.
1CP Potential $/kW Annual Savings
These savings are based on capacity clearing prices for 2025/2026 across MISO in Zone 4.

| Summer (June-August) | $666.50 | $61,318.00 |

| Winter (December-February) | $33.20 | $2,988.00 |
