Investing More in Students
It’s a simple but powerful idea: when schools spend less on energy, they can invest more in students. And that’s exactly the kind of outcome partnerships like this are designed to deliver.
Under the agreement, TXU Energy provided the district with $60,000 in Greenback rebates to fund energy-efficiency improvements across school facilities. From upgraded HVAC systems to more efficient chillers, these investments are helping the district reduce energy use and lower costs. For a district the size of United ISD – more than 40,000 students – even small gains in efficiency can add up quickly.
Putting Dollars Back in the Classroom
As part of the partnership, TXU Energy is also contributing $20,000 to the district’s scholarship fund, further extending the impact from operational savings to student opportunity.
